While visiting the Iowa State Fair yesterday, I was pleased to encounter Victor Rottinghaus and learn of his compelling idea to assist Veterans in obtaining housing. His new non-profit organization, 5PointOp, has developed a persuasive model of sustainable housing for veterans.
Through his innovative housing design, it is possible for Veterans who are eligible to utilize their loan through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to obtain a home and live in it and manage it in such a way that they will be able to generate sufficient revenue to be self-sustaining and resilient.
We need more of this kind of innovation. Perhaps, it will reduce the homelessness that challenges elements of our society. #veteranshelpingveterans #innovation #homebuying #veteransupport
